5. Storage Provider Disclaimers (Bring Your Own Storage - BYOS)

BandRoom operates as a specialized client application that interfaces with user-provided storage backends:

  1. Third-Party Providers: When you connect Google Drive, Dropbox, or a private SFTP server, your connection is subject to the terms of service, acceptable use policies, and storage quotas of those respective providers.
  2. Third-Party Availability & Rate Limits: BandRoom has no control over Google, Dropbox, or network server outages, API throttling, rate limits, or account suspensions imposed by third-party storage providers.
  3. Data Loss on Third-Party Services: BandRoom is not responsible for the deletion, corruption, or loss of audio files stored on your Google Drive, Dropbox, or local hard drives.
  4. User Responsibility for Backups: While BandRoom provides automated local backup (bandroom-backup.json) and Google Drive sync, you are responsible for maintaining regular backups of your primary audio stems and rehearsal recordings.

6. Live Stage Mode, Screen Wake Lock & Hardware Performance

BandRoom includes a dedicated Stage Mode HUD designed for live concert performance:

  1. Screen Wake Lock API (navigator.wakeLock): Stage Mode utilizes device wake lock capabilities to prevent the display from sleeping during performances.
  2. Battery Draw & Hardware Readiness: Keeping a mobile or tablet display active at high brightness draws significant battery power. You acknowledge and agree that:
    • It is your sole responsibility to ensure performance devices have sufficient battery charge or are connected to reliable stage AC power;
    • BandRoom is not liable for device power failures, screen dimming caused by operating system battery-saver policies, unexpected OS reboots, or incoming phone calls interrupting stage views.
  3. Soundcheck Verification: We strongly recommend testing Stage Mode and setlist timing during soundcheck prior to live performances.
