The BandRoom Philosophy

Musicians commonly struggle with fragmented workflows:

• Audio recordings are trapped in raw Google Drive, Dropbox, or DAW folders named ZOOM0042.WAV.
• Lyrics, keys, and tunings are lost in months of WhatsApp or Signal chat history.
• Setlists and show logistics are hastily scribbled on torn paper napkins before load-in.

BandRoom eliminates this chaos by providing an integrated, local-first platform where every rehearsal take links directly to an authoritative master song catalog and flows seamlessly into live show setlists.

BandRoom features a streamlined, single-tier navigation architecture designed for rapid access during practice:

1. Slide-Out Navigation Drawer (☰)

Access the drawer from the hamburger button in the top left header to switch between the 5 primary decoupled views:

• Folders & Sessions: Chronological rehearsal dates, multi-folder switching, and raw track lists.
• Playlists & Mixtapes: Custom sequenced mixtapes, Favorites (T-FAV), and Golden Takes (T-GOLD).
• Song Book: The master repertoire catalog with status chips, search, and BPM/key filters.
• Gigs & Live Stage: Show schedules, flat setlist builder, time budgeting, and Stage Mode HUD.
• Favorites: Starred rehearsal takes for instant quick-list playback.

2. Docked Mini-Player (Spotify-Style)

Docked flush to the bottom edge (bottom-0), the Mini-Player provides continuous playback control without interrupting your browsing context:

• Rotating vintage mini-cassette spool displaying active playback state.
• Track metadata, musical key, and album session title.
• Quick favorite star (⭐), play/pause, and upward expand chevron (▲).
• Hairline brushed champagne progress bar (#c5a059).

3. Expanded Studio Cassette Deck

Tapping anywhere on the Mini-Player opens the full Studio Cassette Deck:

• Twin spinning tape spools reflecting real-time tape tension and elapsed time.
• Digital luminous VFD counter (03:42 / 05:18, TAPE 0432).
• Analog VU level meters and pitch-preserving speed slider (0.5x to 1.5x).
• Integrated drawers for Song Notes & Memos (📝) and Chapter Cuts & Virtual Takes (✂️).
