Cell phones and tablets on stage are notoriously frustrating: screens dim mid-song, bright white backgrounds illuminate the musician's face, and tiny text is unreadable from a mic stand.

BandRoom’s Stage Mode HUD is engineered for pedalboards, keyboard stands, and mic mounts.

Key Stage Mode Features

• Pitch-Black Chassis (#09090b): Zero bright glare. High-contrast brushed champagne (#c5a059), amber, and crisp white typography visible from 4 to 6 feet away.
• Non-Inverting Hardware Design: Even when BandRoom is running in Silver Hi-Fi Light Mode, Stage Mode strictly remains in pitch black (#09090b) to protect stage ambiance.
• Screen Wake Lock API (navigator.wakeLock): Automatically keeps your device display active throughout the performance. Your screen will never dim or sleep mid-solo.
• Live Stage Cockpit Clock & Curfew Stopwatch:
  • Real-time digital clock (22:14:05).
  • Elapsed show stopwatch with 1-tap Start, Pause, and Reset triggers.
  • Dynamic curfew countdown showing remaining performance minutes.

Two Display Modes: Prompter vs. Full Scroll

Toggle between display layouts via the top HUD pill:

1. Prompter Mode (1-Song Focus Card)

Designed for live performance while singing or playing:

• Gigantic Song Title: Bold headline visible from distance.
• Set Progress Counter: e.g. Item 6 of 18 · Set 2.
• Jumbo Musician Badges: Extra-large callouts for Key (Em), Tempo (128 BPM), Tuning (Drop D), and Lead Vocalist.
• Prominent Transition Notes: Displays critical cues in bold gold text (e.g. "Direct segue into Chorus riff — No pause").

Hands-Free & Keyboard Navigation

Control Stage Mode without touching greasy smartphone screens:

• → Right Arrow / Spacebar: Advance to the next song or cue.
• ← Left Arrow: Return to the previous song.
• Esc: Exit Stage Mode and return to the setlist editor.
• Bluetooth Foot Pedal Compatibility: Standard Bluetooth page turners (AirTurn, PageFlip) configured to send arrow keys advance songs effortlessly.
