Mobile Installation (iOS & Android)

Apple iPhone & iPad (Safari PWA)

1. Launch Apple Safari and navigate to https://app.bandroomapp.com.
2. Tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow) on Safari's bottom toolbar.
3. Scroll down the share sheet and select "Add to Home Screen".
4. Tap "Add" in the upper right corner.
5. BandRoom is now installed as a standalone full-screen application with its own cassette tape icon, isolated storage, and full offline caching.

iOS Background Audio Tip

On iOS devices, ensure your phone is not in extreme Low Power Mode. Always trigger playback via an explicit user tap to allow Safari to establish a persistent background audio session.

Google Android (Chrome / Brave WebAPK)

1. Open Google Chrome or Brave and visit https://app.bandroomapp.com.
2. Tap the "Install App" banner that appears at the top of the screen, or tap the browser menu (⋮) and choose "Install App" / "Add to Home screen".
3. Confirm the installation. Android compiles a lightweight native WebAPK with full home screen and app drawer integration.

Desktop Installation (macOS & Windows)

Desktop Browser PWA (Chrome, Edge, Brave)

1. Open BandRoom in any Chromium-based desktop browser.
2. In the right side of the address bar (omnibox), click the Install BandRoom icon (computer monitor with down arrow).
3. Confirm installation. BandRoom will launch in an isolated window without browser tabs or URL bars, supporting native window snapping and desktop shortcuts.

Desktop Native Builds (Tauri v2 Core)

Native desktop releases offer extended hardware capabilities:

• Direct Local File Access: Index gigabytes of local rehearsal recordings directly off external USB drives or NAS without browser security sandbox prompts.
• Global Media Keys: Control play/pause and skip using your physical keyboard media keys even while working inside your DAW (Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Reaper).
• Audio Buffer Latency: Toggle low-latency 64ms buffer mode for instant scrubbing and live stage monitoring.
